Deyang Rata Technology Introduces 7500 kVA Mobile Resistive-Inductive Load Bank

Deyang Rata Technology Co., Ltd. has introduced the SIRL-6000L, a mobile resistive-inductive integrated load bank with an apparent power rating of 7,500 kVA and an active power rating of 6,000 kW. The system is designed for high-capacity electrical testing applications involving gas turbine generator sets, marine diesel generator sets, land-based diesel generator sets, and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems.

The SIRL-6000L combines resistive and inductive loading within a single mobile chassis, allowing test engineers to apply active and reactive loads independently or simultaneously. The unit provides up to 4,500 kvar of reactive power and supports adjustable power factors ranging from 0.8 to 1.0.

Designed for High-Capacity Mobile Testing

The SIRL-6000L is intended for field-testing applications where temporary or mobile power verification is required without relying on permanent testing infrastructure.

“The SIRL-6000L was developed to support high-capacity testing applications that require both resistive and inductive loading in a mobile configuration,” said Gong Zhenhua, Media Contact at Deyang Rata Technology Co., Ltd. “The combined load configuration allows testing teams to apply different active and reactive load conditions according to the requirements of the equipment under test.”

The load bank uses a modular architecture in which individual load modules can be inspected, maintained and replaced independently. The resistive section uses stainless steel resistor-tube modules, while the inductive section incorporates fixed duct-type reactors designed for 4,500 kvar operation at 380 V through transformer voltage reduction.

Cooling and Protection Systems

The SIRL-6000L uses forced-air cooling driven by multiple axial-flow fans. Separate ventilation paths are provided for the resistive and inductive sections, with air entering through side intakes and heated air discharged through top exhaust ducts.

The system includes monitoring and protection functions covering thermal, airflow, and electrical operating conditions. These include airflow sensors, temperature monitoring at resistor and reactor locations, fan thermal overload protection, overvoltage and overcurrent protection, short-circuit protection, grounding protection, and emergency-stop functions.

The system also incorporates two internal smoke detectors. According to the company's specifications, smoke detection can initiate load unloading, system shutdown, and an alarm.

The unit is specified for outdoor operation at ambient temperatures ranging from -20°C to +50°C and altitudes of up to 2,000 meters. The container measures approximately 13,000 mm by 2,438 mm by 2,896 mm and weighs approximately 20 tons per unit. It has an IP54 protection rating and four-corner lifting points for crane transportation.

Control, Measurement and System Expansion

The SIRL-6000L supports local and remote operation through manual and automatic control modes. Its measurement system displays operating parameters including voltage, current, frequency, active power, reactive power, apparent power, and power factor.

The system has a specified control response time of less than 200 milliseconds and records test data such as load-step changes, thermal readings, and fault information for post-test analysis.

For applications requiring additional capacity, the system can operate in parallel with specified on-site 6.6 kV test loads. According to the manufacturer's specifications, this configuration supports multi-container 1+N system expansion.

System management is handled through upper-computer software developed by Deyang Rata Technology. The cross-platform application, developed using JavaScript with Vue and Electron frameworks, provides functions for real-time monitoring, load control, and test-data logging.

Manufacturing processes include load-module processing, control-unit assembly, environmental testing, and functional debugging before deployment.
