1
What are the key differences between the SIRL-1800kW and other 1800kW load banks?
The SIRL-1800kW adopts precise 5kW step control (instead of 10kW or coarser steps) with an accuracy of ±3%. It supports the 8961 F2 generator testing function and features a more flexible side air outlet design. These features deliver superior performance in testing accuracy, functional capability and deployment flexibility.
2
Why is the load resolution set at 5kW instead of 1kW?
The 5kW resolution achieves an optimal balance between reliability and precision. Compared with 1kW steps, the 5kW configuration requires fewer contactors, resulting in lower failure rates and reduced maintenance costs. Meanwhile, the ±3% accuracy fully meets the requirements of most industrial applications.
3
Will the 1800kW power rating be derated under 380V input voltage?
Yes. The power will be derated to 1625kW at 380V, and 545kW under three-phase 220V. This is a normal consequence of reduced input voltage.
4
How does the fan system guarantee 24-hour continuous operation?
Four 3kW three-phase industrial fans are installed with a total air volume of 70 m³/kW/h. Each fan is equipped with thermal relay and air pressure switch protection. This redundant design ensures remaining fans can maintain normal heat dissipation even if one fan malfunctions.
5
How to realize remote control and data acquisition?
Remote control and data acquisition can be realized by connecting to a PC via RJ45 port and Modbus TCP communication protocol. The built-in 8961 F2 function supports real-time collection and analysis of generator test data.
6
What is the temperature resistance performance of the load elements?
Nickel-chromium (Ni-Cr) resistance cores are adopted, with a temperature resistance up to 1200°C, guaranteeing reliable operation under high-load and high-temperature conditions.
7
Can the unit operate normally under extreme temperature environments?
The operating temperature range is -20°C to +50°C. Temperature compensation and performance evaluation are recommended for extreme working environments.
8
What is the noise level, and is sound insulation treatment required?
The noise level is 85±3 dB(A), which falls within industrial standards. Sound insulation treatment is recommended for indoor installation or sites near residential areas.
9
How to conduct routine maintenance and periodic inspections?
Fan and contactor conditions should be inspected every 500 operating hours, and full maintenance shall be carried out every 1000 hours. Regularly clean heat sinks and inspect insulation conditions.
10
Does it support parallel connection of multiple units for power expansion?
Multi-unit parallel operation is available via special design, but it requires professional electrical design and control systems. Please consult our technical support team for details.
11
How long does transportation and installation take?
Fitted with ISO lifting lugs for direct crane mounting. Professional logistics teams are required for transportation, while installation and commissioning generally take 2 to 3 days.
12
Does it comply with international standards and certifications?
It complies with EU standards including CE marking, RoHS compliance and the WEEE Directive, as well as domestic GB standards and IEC international standards.
13
How to quickly troubleshoot faults when abnormalities occur?
Indicator lights on the control panel including Hi-Temp, Low air volume and E-STOP enable fast fault location.
14
Typical product delivery time?
6 weeks.
16
Do you provide installation and testing support?
Yes, Rata provides on-site testing services, including equipment installation, configuration, and data logging.
17
