The Principle And Difference Between Rata AC Load Bank And DC Load Bank

To test the current flow through the data center, the company chose to use AC and DC load banks . These banks verify the AC and DC load capacity of data center power systems, enabling companies to track and pay attention to anomalies that could lead to outages.

Rata Technology provides the best domestic AC and DC load bank technology. Our systems allow accurate testing of today's critical power systems and are easier to use than most other systems on the market. We offer load banks rated from 20KVA to 800KVA for DC applications and 500kW– 300,000kW for AC applications .

Our AC and DC Load Banks are available in various sizes of AC and DC load banks to meet the needs of your data center setup. Each can be further customized to meet the specific requirements of your battery and power flow settings. Check them out below.

AC load bank

AC load bank

Our AC units range from small portable low power units to high power indoor or outdoor permanent load solutions. Our advanced PC software customized for our equipment provides advanced load profiling solutions for simple to complex testing applications in a variety of data centers and power supplies.

The chassis of our AC load banks are designed to be rugged and contain isolated internal chambers for control and load elements. Air-tight enclosure design keeps electrical components away from dust and debris for long-life reliability in harsh operating environments.

More importantly, all single-phase AC load banks have multiple built-in automatic safety shutdowns and manual override shutdowns. The portable version also features lifting eyes and casters for easy relocation.

DCload bank

Similar to our AC units, our DC units range from small portable low power units to high power indoor or outdoor permanent load solutions. Equipped with their own custom software and algorithms, they provide advanced load profiling solutions for simple to complex test applications for various data centers and power supplies.

Our DC load bank enclosures are designed with user ease of use, portability and versatility in mind. Similar to our AC units, the airtight chassis design keeps electrical components away from dust and debris for long-life reliability in harsh operating environments.

And, like our AC load banks , all single-phase DC load banks come with multiple built-in automatic safety shutdowns and manual override shutdowns. The portable version also features lifting eyes and casters for easy relocation.

How AC and DC work

Electricity can flow in the system in two ways, AC or DC. The main difference between AC and DC is mainly in the direction in which the current is supplied. In direct current, current is in one direction. Meanwhile, in alternating current, the currents change their direction, like forwards and then backwards.

Main Difference Between AC and DC

Here is a quick breakdown of some of the key differences between AC and DC current:

– The direction of current in alternating current changes periodically while direct current is constant as it only flows in one direction.

– The flow of charge carried in the alternating current will flow by rotating the coil within the magnetic field, otherwise it would rotate around the magnetic field within the stationary coil. In direct current, the resulting charge will flow by keeping the magnetic force stable with the wire.

– According to national standards, the frequency range of alternating current is 50 Hz to 60 Hz. On the other hand, the DC frequency always remains at zero.

– AC has a power factor between and , while DC always has a power factor of .

– The generation and transmission of AC can be done using several substations, while DC requires more substations.

– AC loads are resistive or inductive or capacitive while DC loads are always resistive.
