    RATA 4MW RLC Containerized Load Bank is a high-power integrated resistive, reactive and capacitive load testing system designed for comprehensive performance testing of large-scale generators and power systems.


    With up to 4000kW resistive, 3000kVar inductive and 1937.29kVar capacitive loading capacity, the system provides independent R/L/C load adjustment, multi-voltage input capability up to 13.8kV, and advanced testing functions including steady-state, transient, harmonic and waveform analysis. Equipped with PLC-based intelligent control, 40μs transient data acquisition, automatic loading and comprehensive protection, the system provides a reliable and flexible platform for validating generator performance, dynamic response, power quality and load regulation under demanding operating conditions.

    Why adopt the integrated RLC (Resistance‑Inductance‑Capacitance) load?
    The integrated RLC load is capable of simulating active loads, inductive reactive loads and capacitive reactive loads simultaneously. Through independent adjustment and combination of the three types of loads, it can replicate real‑world load conditions with varying power factors and load characteristics. For generator set testing, it can not only verify the rated power output capability, but also comprehensively evaluate the unit's voltage regulation, reactive power response, power‑factor adaptability and dynamic performance.

    Can resistive, inductive and capacitive loads be controlled separately?
    Yes. Resistive, inductive and capacitive loads adopt independent control loops, which can be switched on/off and adjusted individually, or loaded in combinations according to test procedures.
    Minimum resolution of resistive load: 1 kW
    Minimum resolution of inductive load: 1 kVar
    Minimum resolution of capacitive load: 1 kVar
    Different load combinations can be configured to meet specific test requirements.

    What voltage levels does the equipment support?
    The equipment supports dual‑input for both low‑voltage and high‑voltage:
    Low‑voltage: 400 V / 480 V
    High‑voltage: 3.3 kV / 6.6 kV / 10.5 kV / 13.8 kV
    Each voltage level corresponds to a specific operating capacity range. The actual output capacity shall be determined per the equipment technical specifications and the actual test voltage.

    What is control‑mode interlock?
    Once one control mode is selected by the system, other control channels will be locked. This prevents multiple operating terminals from sending loading commands to the load equipment at the same time. For instance, when on‑site personnel use local control, the remote control terminal cannot perform loading operations concurrently, thus avoiding unintended loading or control conflicts.

    How does the door limit protection work?
    Door limit switches are fitted on the container maintenance doors and relevant high‑voltage wiring areas. When a maintenance door or designated access panel is open, the system will inhibit load‑enabling operations. In addition, corresponding electrical interlocks are implemented between the high‑voltage side and low‑voltage side to prevent loading and related operations from being performed when safety conditions are not satisfied.
