UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) load test

    Routine testing content:

    1. Full load test: Adjust the load bank to a load equal to the nominal capacity of the UPS, and check whether the operating stability, output voltage, frequency, and other indicators of the UPS are normal under full load.

    2. Half load test: Apply a load of approximately 50% capacity and observe the relevant performance.

    3. Light load test: Apply a small proportion of load to understand the working status of UPS under low load conditions.

    4. Overload test: Apply a load that exceeds a certain proportion of the nominal capacity (such as 110%, 120%, etc.) for a short period of time to test the overload protection capacity and ultimate bearing capacity of the UPS.

    Other testing points:

    5. Dynamic load testing: Simulate rapid load changes and evaluate the dynamic response performance of UPS, including the ability to recover voltage and frequency fluctuations.

    6. Battery discharge test: Verify whether the battery pack can maintain UPS operation for the required time in the discharge state through load testing.

    7. Efficiency testing: Understand the energy conversion efficiency of UPS under different load conditions.

    8. Temperature rise test: Monitor the temperature changes of key components inside the UPS during the loading process to ensure good heat dissipation and no overheating phenomenon.

    9. Long term operation test: Conduct a long-term load operation to examine the reliability and durability of UPS.

Application of load bank in UPS testing

    1. Capacity verification: By connecting loads of different sizes, accurately verify whether the actual power capacity that UPS can provide meets its nominal value.

    2. Performance evaluation: Apply various load conditions to evaluate the output voltage stability, frequency stability, conversion efficiency, and other key performance indicators of UPS at different load levels.

    3. Overload capacity detection: Gradually increase the load on the load bank to test the UPS's ability to withstand overload and whether the protection mechanism starts normally.

    4. Dynamic response testing: Simulate rapid changes in load, observe the response speed and output recovery ability of UPS to sudden load changes, and ensure that it can cope with dynamic load situations in practical applications.

    5. Battery discharge test: In battery powered mode, use a load bank for discharge testing to determine the battery's endurance and discharge characteristics.

    6. Long term reliability testing: continuously loading and running for a long time, used to test the reliability and durability of UPS under long-term load working conditions.

    7. Temperature detection: Monitor the internal temperature changes of the UPS during the loading process, and determine whether the heat dissipation meets the requirements based on the load situation.

    8. Aging test: Helps simulate long-term operating conditions, accelerates the detection of potential problems, and achieves aging evaluation of UPS.
