Product Overview
- Rata’s R2500kW marine load bank is a containerized low-voltage/medium-voltage resistive/inductive load bank designed for heavy-duty, continuous operation. It supports star-delta conversion for 400V–690V operation and uses dry-type transformers to step voltages from 400V up to 10kV. The unit is built for outdoor use (container type), is highly stable and durable, and is available in multiple capacities and sizes with customizable parameters.
Product Features
- Combined resistive and inductive loading with fine step control (resistive steps down to 1 kW, inductive steps down to 1 kvar) and parallel expansion of multiple load containers.
- Accurate monitoring and control: instrument sampling accuracy class 0.2 (voltage ±0.5%, current ±0.5%, frequency ±0.1%, power ±1%, power factor ±1%). Loading accuracy ±3% and three-phase imbalance ≤3%.
- Robust protections (short circuit, over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature, low air volume, emergency stop), forced-air cooling (side or top outlet), insulation class F, and high withstand voltages for resistors/inductors.
- Configurable for 50/60 Hz, wide ambient ranges (–20°C to 50°C, up to 100% humidity, altitude to 2,500 m), and meets ship, military and telecom standards where required.
Product Value
- Provides reliable, precise, and safe load testing for large generators, prime movers and power systems to ensure performance, commissioning and maintenance outcomes.
- Modular and customizable design lets customers match capacity, voltage range and control features to their exact test requirements, reducing downtime and avoiding over-spec equipment procurement.
- Containerized outdoor design and transport-friendly lifting provisions enable fast deployment and use in field, marine and industrial environments.
Product Advantages
- Wide voltage flexibility: star-delta conversion for 400V–690V and transformer option up to 10kV supports both LV and MV testing with predictable power behavior.
- High quality and traceability: Rata emphasizes zero-compromise design and materials, continuous quality control and product testing; the company holds multiple patents and is a recognized national high-tech enterprise.
- Strong protection, accuracy and continuous-duty capability for heavy industrial and marine applications.
- Scalable: multiple containers can be paralleled for larger total capacity; many parameters and configurations can be customized.
Application Scenarios
- Marine and shipboard generator testing and shore-power verification (ship-standard construction).
- Generator acceptance, commissioning and preventive maintenance at power plants, large industrial sites and data centers.
- Telecom and UPS system testing, military power system verification, and factory production-line or R&D load testing.
- Temporary load simulation for renewable integration studies, grid support testing, and contractor/site commissioning where portable, robust load banks are required.
